This combination creates a simplistic and amiable elegance. It also looks great set against a blue background. The wood should be kept in a pale, light shade so that it does not appear heavy in a small bedroom.

This furniture creates clarity. The Danish simplicity of design in their furniture is excellent for using in a small bedroom. Pale blue always opens up space, like the early morning sky on the horizon of a pale, bluish gray ocean, giving an impression of infinity. Textiles are also kept in pale blue in order to create a sense of unity in the total appearance and retain the spacious effect. Pure white would make the blue appear too cool.

The walls are painted in pale blue, the ceiling and doors in a creme-white. The warm nuances of wood counteract the cooler blues and prevent the room from appearing too cold. These are excellent colors for making rooms look more spacious. Typical colors of Danish design are pale blues, creme and natural tones of wood. The Danish designs, particularly, appeal to me.

I am very fond of Scandinavian design and find it ideal for the small room. This also helps me to see the space objectively and not as a restricted and difficult area to design. This way, I become far more creative and widen my perspective as to possibilities. When looking for ideas to create an interesting appearance for small bedrooms, I like to look at far bigger ideas and see if they will adapt successfully to a small concept.
